The team said their goodbyes to chansolme this morning and traveled to salines mayette to the orphanage. We painted the orphanage a bright blue to make it look homey and fun for the kids. We are now hanging out at a campus in Beauchamp, Haiti. We are staying with Zach and Christie Clayton, who are close friends from Indiana. They fed us well and allowed to use their showers!! Tomorrow we will head to the orphanage for more painting and hopefully some dodgeball!

More time in Chansolme

Tonight is our group’s last night in Chansolme. Over the past couple of days the team has been spending time in the community surveying families about day to day life. This has provided the opportunity to get to know what life is like for the people of Chansolme.
The team has also been pouring into the towns children by running day time sports programs. This provides us with the opportunity to meet more families.
Tomorrow morning the team leaves Chansolme and heads to the orphanage. They will be spending the next two nights in a town called Beauchamp commuting to the orphanage to paint the facility. The orphanage is in need of a face lift an our team’s time spent painting will make a huge difference.

1:39 pm Sunday. Haley just checked in and let me know the team is doing awesome. All members are healthy and well and God has been using our team in amazing ways.
Yesterday the team started VBS with the kids in Chansolme. Each American student was assigned 5 Haitian kids on their team to get to know and minister to. The teams took part in relay races and bible lessons.
Foster Lucas has a great story to tell when he gets home about a new cutting edge sport he invented called Night Dumping. Please ask him about it when he returns.
The next 3 nights our team will be in Chansolme doing VBS by day and hosting a revival at night. At the revival Foster, Andrew, and JD will be preaching their first sermons with the help of translators. Please pray God uses their words to encourage the Haitian people.

Our team went to Ansofolur this town is the voodoo capital of the northwest zone. They prayed over a voodoo monument and and were educated on spiritual issues that are prevalent in Haiti as well as the US.
Today they are heading to Chamsolme. This is the town we have partnered with and seek to build a church in and have adopted as neighbors. While in Chamsolme
The team will be doing community surveys, VBS, and several other programs.

We’re in the Dallas airport. Everyone is getting their share of American food and waiting for our next flight, the final one! We’re still on time and should land in Louisville at 11pm. We’ll update this if there are changes.
